Escape Through Games Project
1 month
For the escape project, we focused on games and competition. Games being the form of escape from issues in reality but also encourage improvement for the body.
The inspiration came from a part of history, the Kingdom of Lydia, they had a serious good shortage so the king invented a dice game to reduce food intake and take peoples mind off of food and starvation. Our game was a race against the bus. |
My idea is an app to achieve the race against the bus through role play.
It is similar to Zombie Run but the difference is, my design allows the user to talk through the app. The idea is to get the users immersive themselves into the character and story to feel real and believable, this will be achieved by having users interact with the characters by voice.
The only thing the user has to do is listen to the characters talk and using the microphone icon, the user is able to ‘interact’ with the characters. This function is done by voice and speech recognition by programming, very much like Siri from Apple.

The story is about a police pursuit on a suspect who got on the bus and the user, who is given the name and title, Constable Morris, chases down the suspect by listening to a commanding officer, Sergeant Stiles, who tells Morris short cuts to take, to get as close to the bus and the final bus stop, running on foot through a maze of streets.
